National Apprenticeship Week 2024

As part of National Apprenticeship Week 2024 we’d like to celebrate our very own apprentice, Jess Everall.

Jess is in her first year of the Architect Degree Apprenticeship at Northumbria University, Newcastle. Jess joined the Architects-Group to join the recently created apprenticeship course as an alternative to the more standard route of becoming a qualified architect.

Northumbria University offers the four-year course which includes the Part II and Part III qualifications, enabling participants to become fully qualified architects by the end of the programme. Students retain full time employment throughout the course and university work is broken down and spread across the four years accordingly.

Not only does it enable students to gain years of experience in practise, learning from architects as they go, but also to gain the qualifications needed to become an architect without taking on any additional student debt. We think the scheme is a fantastic way to retain talent in the workplace, whilst bettering individuals future prospects, skills and knowledge.
