Planning Success for the RNLI Lifeboat Station at Filey :

Planning permission has been granted for the extension of the Filey RNLI Lifeboat station. The proposed extension of the existing RNLI Lifeboat Station at Filey has been designed to accommodate the new Atlantic 85 fast response lifeboat.

RNLI Filey operates a rescue service covering the Filey Bay area between Gristhorpe to the north and Flamborough Head to the south. The extension when complete will support the provision of facilities required to accommodate the new craft and tractor trailer assembly, whilst ensuring that a 10-minute launch time can be achieved in accordance with the RNLI regulations.
