Ashwood Business Park

Architects Group have worked closely with Advance Northumberland to develop a forward-thinking masterplan vision for Ashwood Business Park, helping shape the future growth and identity of the site. Through detailed planning, strategic design and advanced BIM services, the project has evolved from an initial concept into a comprehensive vision for a modern employment and industrial hub in Northumberland.

Ashwood Business Park is a 62-acre development site with Enterprise Status, strategically located in Ashington with excellent regional connectivity via the A189, linking directly to the A1(M) and A19, as well as close access to the Port of Blyth and Newcastle International Airport. The site has already attracted major occupiers including AkzoNobel’s sustainable paint manufacturing facility, alongside Bernicia Homes and Contec, establishing the business park as an important employment destination within the region

The masterplan prepared by Architects Group explores the future potential of the remaining employment land, creating opportunities for industrial, manufacturing, energy and commercial development. The proposals focus on delivering high-quality employment spaces supported by infrastructure, amenities and landscape features that promote both business growth and employee wellbeing. Existing on-site amenities including retail and food outlets, woodland walks and cycle routes contribute to the long-term vision for a sustainable and attractive business environment.

The project is now entering its next phase of progression, with the masterplan providing a strong framework for future investment, development opportunities and continued economic growth within South East Northumberland.
