National Apprenticeship Week 2025

As part of National Apprenticeship Week 2025 we’d like to celebrate our very own apprentice, Jess Everall.

Jess joined the Architects-Group in 2023 and has since embarked on the Architect Degree Apprenticeship at Northumbria University, in order to obtain her Masters in Architecture and Part 3 qualifications. As many of us know, the route to becoming an Architect is far from easy, however the Apprenticeship route provides a unique opportunity to become qualified whilst simultaneously building years of workplace and live project experience, giving these apprentices a head start in the industry.

We have witnessed this first hand with Jess, already halfway through the course and having contributed to a wide range of projects from large scale masterplans to one off bespoke houses. She has built a strong foundation of skills and knowledge in the early stages of projects and will continue to do so throughout her career with us.

Befitting for National Apprentice Week 2025, Jess and her mentor, Mary Schulz, were able to attend a site visit this week for a project they have worked on since it’s conception in 2023. The project is on behalf of our longstanding client, Tyne Housing, which involves a 20-unit residential scheme providing supported housing and facilities for vulnerable adults. Jess worked on the design and planning stages of this development and this week was able to see her hard work pay off as the ground works take shape on site.

Jess continues to exceed expectations daily, with the dedication to her work and education in tandem, and we are very proud to be able to support her throughout the remainder of her apprenticeship journey and career beyond.
