Supporting learning and education is a key part of our culture at Architects Group. We recognise the value that academic study brings to both individual development and the practice as a whole, helping to bring fresh ideas, innovation and professional excellence.
This year, we are delighted to celebrate the achievements of four colleagues who have successfully completed the next stage of their architectural education alongside their work within the practice. We would like to congratulate Jessica, Diana, Kate, and Joanna on their achievements and thank them for their continued contributions to the practice. We look forward to supporting them as they continue to develop their careers and achieve future success.

Jessica Everall Completes Master’s Degree
Congratulations to Jessica Everall, who has successfully completed her Master of Architecture (MArch) at Northumbria University. Jessica’s project, ‘The Botanic Farm’ creates an urban farming environment led by the community, making food production local and sustainable.

Diana Vedmedovska Completes Master’s Degree
We also congratulate Diana Vedmedovska on completing her Master of Architecture at Cardiff University. Diana’s final year project ‘The Unreliable Narrator’ focuses on memory, its representation, narration and the way it shapes collective perceptions of the past, rooted in Latvian history and culminating in an Open-Air Museum.

Kate Graham Progresses Through Degree Apprenticeship
Kate Graham has successfully completed the second year of her Architecture Degree Apprenticeship at Northumbria University. Kate’s second year project ‘Community for Refuge and Recovery’ transforms an existing building into a refuge for vulnerable women and children, along with a new build trauma medical centre providing on site services including mental health support.

Joanna Madetko Completes PG Cert in Architecture
Congratulations to Joanna Madetko on completing her Postgraduate Certificate (PG Cert) in Architecture. Joanna’s project reinterprets Alphabetti theatre as a civic space for collective experience, reconnecting performance with community in Newcastle upon Tyne. As visitors move through the theatre, the building gradually reveals itself like a play unfolding on stage. Layers begin to emerge, thresholds shift, and spaces open and close like curtains revealing new scenes. Atmosphere becomes the catalyst of the design.
