Architects-Group Opens New Glasgow Office

Architects-Group Opens New Glasgow Office

15 September 2026

Architects-Group Expands into Scotland with New Glasgow Office, Led by Director Ewan Ross

Architects-Group is expanding its UK operations with the opening of a new office in Glasgow, strengthening its presence across the UK and establishing a permanent base in Scotland. The move follows an increasing pipeline of potential projects across the country and will enable the architecture and design practice to develop long-term relationships with clients, consultants and partners across the Scottish market.

Leading the new Glasgow operation is Ewan Ross, who has joined Architects-Group as Regional Architectural Director for Scotland. Ewan brings extensive experience across commercial and large-scale development projects, with particular expertise in sports and leisure, industrial, energy and residential development.

Ewan’s career has progressed from qualifying as an Architect to senior leadership positions. Spreading over the last two decades, he has developed extensive experience in management, complex project delivery and business development, working across a broad range of sectors throughout the UK and internationally. His combination of architectural expertise, commercial understanding and leadership experience will be instrumental in establishing and growing Architects-Group’s presence in Scotland.

A priority for Ewan will be building a new Glasgow-based team through a focused recruitment strategy designed to attract some of Scotland’s leading architectural and design talent. The new office will support Architects-Group’s growing portfolio of work in Scotland, complementing its established national and international bases in Newcastle, Cardiff, London and Saudi Arabia.

The expansion forms part of Architects-Group’s wider growth strategy, with the practice targeting turnover of more than £3 million by 2027

Establishing a permanent presence in Scotland will provide a strong platform from which to support this ambition while creating strong regional relationships and employment opportunities with further targeted growth across the Scottish region.

Ewan will be leading one of the practice’s marina and leisure development at Saulmore Bay, near Oban. Creating a new destination that is rooted in its distinctive coastal setting.

At Ardmucknish Bay, the proposals bring together a 200-boat marina with a carefully considered mix of uses, including a boat workshop and yard, restaurant, café, retail space and artists’ studios. A new community square will form a focal point for the development, alongside wellness facilities and a collection of holiday lodges set within the wider landscape.
