Architects-Group are pleased to announce the recruitment of five new members of the team to their head office in Newcastle. The new recruits bring a wealth of knowledge and skills, supplementing the growing team and enabling the company to continue to work on larger and more complex projects. Now with four offices, including the latest in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Architects-Group are gaining momentum and increasing their portfolio of work, spanning sectors including residential, commercial, infrastructure and healthcare.
Emily Leake is a RIBA-certified architect and Passive House Designer with over a decade of experience delivering complex, large-scale international and UK-based projects across the hospitality, healthcare, and residential sectors. Whilst working at Hopkins Architects, London, Emily went from Architectural Assistant to qualified Architect, contributing to many large scale and landmark projects, including the Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute, Ohio, a one-million-square-foot hospital, where she managed multi-office Revit coordination.
Paul Biggins joins Architects-Group having been a freelance and highly experienced Architectural Technologist, with an extensive background across residential, commercial, heritage, education, and public-sector projects. His experience operating both freelance and in practice environments gives him a specialist understanding of projects and business management with the ability to deliver full architectural design packages, tender documentation, working drawings, site supervision, and CDM Principal Designer duties.
Kate Graham is an RIBA Architectural Apprentice working to become a registered Architect. Kate has worked on a variety of bespoke residential projects, having overseen and contributed to all RIBA work stages throughout her career so far. This experience makes Kate a valued member of the team, with knowledge above and beyond the usual scope of a trainee architect. She has experience in presenting and communicating design proposals to clients, contractors and consultants, able to deliver schemes concisely and coherently to all audiences.
Paopao Yang is an Architecture Graduate from Oxford Brookes University, with previous experience as an intern at Grayling Thomas Architects in Oxford, where tasks included 2D and 3D drawings, site visits, client coordination, and supporting project architects. He brings strong software skills in Adobe, Revit and several other BIM software, speaks English and Mandarin and won the UK Black Swan Young Open Exhibition in 2019. Paopao is currently undertaking his Masters in Architecture, part-time at Cardiff University, whilst employed at Architects Group to build his knowledge and skills in the delivery of real-life architectural projects.
Joanna Madetko joined Architects Group as a Part 1 Interior Architecture Assistant, supporting her PG Cert application prior to completing her Part 1 Architecture Degree at Northumbria University. She graduated from Northumbria with a first-class honours degree in Interior Architecture and presented her final year work at the Biennale Architettura 2025 – 19th International Architecture Exhibition in Venice and was nominated for the Interior Educators National Student Awards under the Interior Futures category, recognising projects that explore future spatial possibilities and respond to contemporary social, political, and economic challenges through innovative design.
The company is delighted to welcome the new employees to the team, bringing with them talent, skills and knowledge to support the stream of exciting projects being undertaken both nationally and internationally.
